WHY CHOOSE US

Why EverClear Pools & Spas for pool renovations

Most contractors specialize in one type. EverClear renovates both, matching new materials to existing structures accurately.

Older pools often fall short of current NJ barrier and electrical codes. EverClear brings renovations up to code as part of the scope.

Nine Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Northeast Spa & Pool Association, including multiple awards for renovation work.

Structural repair, resurfacing, tile, coping, decking, equipment, plumbing, and electrical handled by one team. No subcontractor coordination on your end.

OUR PROCESS

From assessment to finished renovation

1

Free On-Site Assessment

A project manager inspects the pool shell, equipment, plumbing, and deck. You get a written scope of what needs repair, what is optional, and what it costs.

2

Design and Material Selection

Choose finishes, tile, coping, and deck materials. The team produces drawings showing the renovation plan and confirms the timeline.

3

Renovation Construction

EverClear drains the pool, removes damaged material, makes structural repairs, and installs new finishes. Daily cleanup is standard.

4

Fill, Balance, and Walkthrough

The pool is refilled, water chemistry is balanced, and you inspect the completed renovation with your project manager before signoff.

What We Renovate

Pool renovation services we offer in Northern New Jersey

Every renovation is different. Some pools need surface work only. Others need structural repair, new equipment, and a full deck rebuild. Here is what EverClear handles.

Pool Resurfacing

Replastering, aggregate finishes, and pebble coatings applied over existing gunite shells. Restores a smooth, watertight surface and eliminates staining.

Tile and Coping Replacement

Waterline tile, accent tile, and coping stones removed and replaced. New materials are matched to the pool shape and your design preferences.

Pool Deck Renovation

Concrete overlay, pavers, or natural stone installed over or in place of damaged pool decking. Proper grading and drainage included.

Structural Repair

Crack injection, rebar reinforcement, and shell stabilization for gunite pools with structural movement. Assessed before any cosmetic work begins.

Vinyl Liner Replacement

Full liner replacement for vinyl pools. Pattern and color selection, wall panel inspection, and track system repair included in the scope.

Equipment Upgrades During Renovation

Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, and automation controls replaced during renovation to avoid tearing into finished work later.

Plumbing and Electrical Updates

Old plumbing lines, return fittings, skimmers, and electrical wiring replaced or brought up to current NJ code during the renovation.

Every renovation starts with a free on-site assessment.

Common questions about pool renovations

Costs depend on the scope. A simple resurface costs less than a full renovation with new tile, coping, deck, and equipment. EverClear provides a free written estimate after inspecting your pool so you know the total before work begins.

Most renovations take 2 to 6 weeks depending on scope. A resurface alone is faster. A full renovation with structural repair, new deck, and equipment replacement takes longer. The team provides a projected timeline during the design phase.

Yes. EverClear renovates pools regardless of who built them. The assessment identifies exactly what needs work, what materials were originally used, and what the best path forward is.

It depends on the condition of the shell and the cost of repairs versus a new build. If the shell is structurally sound, renovation is almost always more cost-effective. EverClear will give you an honest recommendation either way.

Fall and winter are the most popular for renovations because the pool is already closed. Scheduling off-season also means the pool is ready for the following summer without missing swim time.
