EverClear Pools & Spas has been building custom vinyl pools for homeowners across northern New Jersey since 2010. We handle every phase of vinyl pool ownership: new inground construction, liner replacement on aging pools, and structural or cosmetic repair when problems surface. Our team is CPO-certified, OSHA 30-Hour trained, and carries an A+ BBB rating backed by NESPA Outstanding Achievement Awards earned every year from 2017 through 2024.

Vinyl pools are the most popular choice for NJ homeowners because of their lower installation cost, faster build timeline (typically 3 to 5 weeks), and smooth, algae-resistant surface. We install vinyl pools in every shape and size, from classic rectangles to freeform designs, with options for built-in benches, tanning ledges, and integrated spas. NEW CONSTRUCTION

Custom Vinyl Pool Installation

New vinyl pool construction starts with a site evaluation and design consultation at your home. EverClear’s design team works with you on pool shape, depth, entry configuration, and features like LED lighting, deck jets, and water features. We handle all township permits, HOA approvals, and utility locates before breaking ground.

Our installation process uses steel-wall or polymer-wall framing systems depending on soil conditions and design requirements. The pool shell is excavated, framed, plumbed, and wired before the custom-fit vinyl liner is measured, ordered, and installed. Most new vinyl pool builds in northern NJ complete in 3 to 5 weeks from dig day, weather permitting.

What’s included in a vinyl pool build:

  • Site survey and custom 3D design
  • Township permits and inspections
  • Excavation and soil removal
  • Steel or polymer wall framing
  • Full plumbing and electrical
  • Equipment pad with pump, filter, heater, and chlorinator
  • Custom-measured vinyl liner installation
  • Concrete or paver decking (quoted separately)
  • Pool school session before handoff

LINER REPLACEMENT

Vinyl Liner Replacement

Vinyl liners last 7 to 12 years depending on chemical balance, UV exposure, and water level management. When your liner shows fading, wrinkles, staining, or small tears that keep reappearing, replacement is more cost-effective than repeated patching.

EverClear carries an extensive selection of liner patterns from Latham, GLI, and Merlin. We precision-measure your existing pool to ensure the new liner fits tight to every wall, step, and bench. Most liner replacements complete in 1 to 2 business days after the liner arrives from the manufacturer.

Signs your vinyl liner needs replacement:

  • Visible fading or discoloration that chemical treatment cannot reverse
  • Recurring tears or patch failures
  • Wrinkles or stretching along walls or floor
  • Liner pulling away from the track or bead receiver
  • Persistent water loss despite no equipment leaks
  • Liner is 10+ years old

REPAIR SERVICES

Vinyl Pool Repair

Small problems caught early stay small. EverClear repairs vinyl pool issues before they escalate into liner replacement or structural damage. We diagnose and fix liner tears, wall panel corrosion, plumbing leaks, skimmer cracks, and return fitting failures.

Common vinyl pool repairs we handle:

  • Underwater liner patches and seam repairs
  • Wall panel rust treatment and stabilization
  • Skimmer and return fitting replacement
  • Plumbing line leak detection and repair
  • Step and bench liner re-seating
  • Coping and track replacement
  • Equipment upgrades (pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems)

For repairs that reveal deeper structural issues, we provide a written assessment with options ranging from targeted repair to full renovation so you can make an informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a vinyl pool cost in New Jersey? +

Most new vinyl pool installations in northern NJ start between $55,000 and $85,000 depending on size, depth, features, and site conditions. Liner replacements typically range from $3,500 to $6,500. Every project gets a free written estimate before any work begins.

How long does it take to build a vinyl pool? +

Most new vinyl pool builds complete in 3 to 5 weeks from dig day. Liner replacements take 1 to 2 business days after the liner arrives. Weather and permit timelines can affect the schedule, and we communicate any changes immediately.

How long does a vinyl pool liner last? +

A well-maintained vinyl liner lasts 7 to 12 years. Chemical balance, UV exposure, water level, and winterization quality all affect liner lifespan. We include a written maintenance guide with every installation to help you get the most life from your liner.

Does EverClear handle permits for vinyl pool installation? +

Yes. EverClear pulls all required township permits and schedules every inspection. We meet the inspector on site. Permit fees are included in our quoted price so there are no surprise costs.

Are your installers licensed and insured? +

EverClear Pools & Spas is fully licensed and insured with an A+ BBB rating. Our team holds CPO and CSPT certifications from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance and OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour safety training. We bring proof of insurance to every jobsite.

What is the difference between a vinyl pool and a gunite pool? +

Vinyl pools use a steel or polymer frame with a custom-fit liner. They cost less to install, build faster (weeks vs months), and have a smooth, algae-resistant surface. Gunite pools use a sprayed concrete shell that allows unlimited shapes and finishes but costs more and requires periodic resurfacing. EverClear builds both types and can help you choose the right one for your property and budget.

Do I need to be home during vinyl pool construction? +

An adult 18 or older needs to be available for permit signatures and the final walkthrough. During construction, we send photo updates at every stage. You do not need to be home for daily work, but we welcome site visits anytime.

What happens if my vinyl liner tears? +

Small tears can often be patched underwater without draining the pool. If the tear is in a seam, near a fitting, or the liner is already aging, replacement may be the better long-term investment. EverClear provides a written assessment with both options so you can decide.
